"Sidewalks and long blocks for getting in a good brisk walks with your dogs. Also people seem alert and are used to seeing snd watcbjnf our for dogs while driving so it’s safe to cross the street at corners and wall the dogs without fear of someone clipping you or your fur babies with their Range Rover or Subaru Outback .... I used to live in Hollywood ca and it’s much safer to walk here in west haven - you took your life and your dogs lives into your hands every time you stepped off the curb in Hollywood / not the case here, thank god! "It has a neighborly feel to it with a country feel. It's a quiet neighborhood although the main road can get busy. The city environment is not a significant influence here."
